I went to the beach today and told everyone I seen with a dog that I was an ametaur photographer trying to build a portfolio and asked them if I could take pictures of their dogs. Heres one of them with a frame and my logo.

nikki - thats a great photo! good job - i like the movement of the dog, the simplicity (great background - the paw prints help with the direction the dog) and the cropping/framing is well done!
if youre getting into the post-processing, you might try to lighten up the dogs eye (his right one) and sharpen them a bit.
this one is for sure your best photo uploaded yet - must help having the new camera!

Now where did that come from? That is excellent! :highfive: Well done! I agree with Kiley's comments, and add that perhaps a touch more contrast wouldn't hurt.

IMO - This is the best shot you have posted so far:highfive: VERY nice!

The only thing this shot does need as mentioned is more contrast. Again there are no blacks (except your logo) in this shot. This is easily fixed using levels or curves in photoshop. OR if you don't have photoshop, find out how to increase the contrast using your program.

I might also have cropped the shot 5-10% off the top.

This shot has the potential to be excellent with a wee but more post-processing. It's a keeper.

Thank-you very much, I didn't know how much potential I had until I got out there and started shooting. The dog-owners at the beach were really great. They asked me "what would you like him/her to do and I said if you can let them off the leash that would be great. I love candid shots more then posed.
