I don't feel at all qualified to comment on other people's photos, except at a most basic level of liking or if you can't say anything nice...
But I took this photo while hiking in Virginia this weekend (see thread in Landscapes forum). I was pleased the way it turned out in both color and black and white versions. They are slightly different crops. I'd love to hear comments/suggestions. Thanks.

I love how the flowers seem to be popping out at you. My preference is for the colour photo as I think that the green adds depth and dimension. I would consider cropping out the far right side as it doesn't add to the photo and maybe that half flower down below. But this is nitpicky and I really like it. :thumbup:

oh and you are qualified to make any comments you want on a photo. :goodvibes

In this case I much prefer the sepia treatment - The crop is better for me and it looks like there's less empty space at bottom left. Also the mood here is just wonderful in sepia. Well done:highfive:

Thanks for the comments. Bambi I see what you mean about the crop. I was wondering about leaving that background flower in or out.
Marko, thanks for the compliment. I liked the sepia too because of the way it accents the white.
