Cool. Thanks for sharing.

I finally took my DSLR on a flight the other week. I usually fly on planes with baggage restrictions that prevent me taking a DSLR and a notebook computer due to weight restrictions. We didn't seem to fly over anything spectacular except when we were taking off or landing, and I couldn't use my camera.:wall-an: Id did get some abstract cloud shots I will post sometime.

I worked for a company called Steelcase once, worlds largest office furniture maker and I travelled for three years straight all over Canada, USA and Mexico for them as the official I am sorry we fuc*ed up guy and did what I had to make them happy and figure out a cost effective solution to one of our many major boondoggles since our plant was at the time totally new and never tried technology. And we had a lot of them I think I lived in airports for most of those 3 years and after you been on the tarmac at times 9 to 12 hours you just want them to get you where you are going and taking photos is the last thing on your mind. Now I think what a twit, could have had tons of great photos.

Realy neat stuff Al thanks for sharing.
Usually I always get the aisle seat as I have long legs and at least I can stretch them out when the beverage cart isn't there. Many of the times I have had the window seat usually the plane is full there is some massively rather large person sitting in the middle seat next to me so I get pushed against the side of the plane....the last time I had the window seat there was a really rather large couple in the seats next to me the eating the KFC they brought (back when you could do that sort of thing) and the smell of KFC and the tightness of not being able to move for 2 hours had me swear never again....I will take the aisle...photo ops or not....to this day I have never taken a window seat even if it is available. :)

I only flew business class, I wasn't paying. I almost took up drinking though, not much to do at airports but drink and since I don't and this is pre internet/cell phones days there were a lot of boring times spent at airports. I could have made a good lush I think lol.

I think the airlines could make a killing off photographers if they sold an approved window cleaning kit in-flight.

I had a buddy of mine a few years ago who flew the A/C executive business class from Calgary to Milan...I forget how much the company paid for his ticket but I remember when he told me my jaw dropped to the floor and I thought something along the lines that he (the company he worked for anyhow)could have bought a decent car for the same amount of bucks...
Anyhow, he told me that he got champagne in a crystal champagne glass, dinner on fine china with silverware, (I think I remember something about tenderloin!!) appetizer, main, and dessert I might add and he brought copies me a copy of the menu...the menu with several choices on it! He also got steamed towels to clean his hands and nice blankets and pillows to sleep with....and the SOB also flew home in the same class also.:headslap:
Well, he might have got all that but he didn't get a picture out the window seat!

I've taken a few shots out the window...mostly of canyons and farms and stuff in the midwest.

Husband flies first or business class when he can't have the company jet. yeah, tough life.
