except that we didn't have any beer. Damn if this waterfall wasn't the most refreshing thing ever after hiking up and down Mt. Waternomee in search of that B18 bomber wreckage. The wall of cool radiating off makes you never want to leave, knowing you'll just get all hot and sweaty again and that you could go get beer. Face in water, tripod in water...it was all good.

Thanks guys. I was so frigging tired by the time I got here that I wasn't very ambitious in my photography and basically sat on one rock a lot of the time. Luckily if I want to go back it isn't too painful to get to the waterfall, just the wreckage.

Excellent water capture. Beautiful spot.

thanks AntZ, it was gorgeous there and surprising, I didn't expect a waterfall of such magnitude. The 2nd one is handheld as I wanted to try a faster shutter speed to capture the ruggedness and force of the water which long exposures don't do well. I also thought B&W would enhance it as well, but that might just be me.

Wonderful find. Mike wants to know if you have more pictures of the wreckage. It's an airplane, after all. He actually had to Google the B-18 to get more details. Not as familiar to him as some of the other bombers.

yes, there are more shots of the wreckage on my flickr site. they're not in a set though, but they're on the first page or two.
