I did the pano stitching with Microsoft ICE. Has anyone tried it? Free download and only a couple of MB. It lacks some customisation, but it pretty much just works. You can't really complain for the price. It can handle vertical and grids too..automatically. I put a set of images I started as a grid, but gave up because I lost my markers and it still seemed to do a good job.
