Dreamin' in the backyard

[Wicked Dark]

In another attempt to shoot a common subject in a different way, I decided to go macro with this huddle of bluets in my lawn. They've always been a favorite flower, but they're frigging everywhere and so common that it's hard to think of them as anything special. The sun and the breeze moved in and out as I shot, but for once I didn't really mind the movement or the change in light as I thought it would add to the unstructured and surreal aspect I was going for. Did I succeed?

All shot with the OM 90mm macro & 25mm extension tube, about f4 (wider is even more extreme, but somehow was too open to interpretation). They're still blooming so ideas for me to try are welcome.

I think your 3rd shot has achieved what you were looking for. It has that dreamy look about it. It also breaks the sharpness rule and still works which is very cool!
