Just some shots from a stroll through the Halifax Public Gardens today and one from the walk back to the office. Warning: Flower alert! :)

No, I did not peel back the petals... I found it like this!

Totally missed the focus on this one but I still like it. D'oh!

And the one on the way back to the office...

Looks like flowers were not your point of interest in shot 4, Iggy! I really like that steeple shot!

Love the lighting on the orange flower and the church spire.

I think you nailed the focus in shot 4:)

I like to try and get the odd candid whenever I can and for some reason my eye was wandering her way.

Thanks, AntZ and Casil. I just love the colours - they make me feel happy :)

The purple one, with the pistil lit up and a scattering of pollen on some of the inside petals. I like that one. I played around with one the same color recently. Let's just say you were a lot more successful dealing with the tones and contrast than I was.

Thanks. Just lucky with the angle of the sun maybe. Cheers :)

Very nice series Iggy. Actually like the candid shot the best. Very nice DOF used.

Thanks, HBG. I like those kinds of shots too. It's a shame the focus was off a bit. It's in focus right between the flowers and the lady.

Holding ducklings makes everyone feel that way :)

I told Leanne about my comment and she told me that last year on her visit to her Dad in NZ (I didn't go) they had ducklings climb into their hands at the duck pond. She agrees with my assessment :)
