I stayed near this spectacular cathedral in Sydney last week.

I also spotted this wedding and took this at quite some distance.

Thanks.
MA the shadow across the middle is from the huge office buildings to the west.

Shame it came from such a source but it still adds something powerful to the shot!

Any gargoyles, or are those out of fashion?

Beautiful church and I love your "accidental" wedding photographer shot!

No gargoyles that I saw. This building would be nearly 200 years old. Old by Aussie standards. I'm guessing gargoyles were out of fashion when this was built.

It wasn't so accidental, but I only had 17-85 lens and didn't want to seem too voyeuristic. I can't say for sure with this particular wedding, but it is a bit of a tourism industry based on Asian(mostly Japanese) doing a traditional western wedding. But this was mid week which is not a traditional day for weddings in Australia.

Unfortunately there was a big "No Photography" sign at the entrance. :(
