Since my first EGGsperiment fell on fertile ground, I thought I put one more of the series up for discussion. This one is heavily manipulated with PhotoShop. Had a hard time deciding on a title: was between "Altered EGGo" and "Hole in the EGGhead" ...

Some might just think you're an egghead, but we know you're creating your leggacy.

This is turning into an Egg-stravaganza of "cracked up" humour! I feel I need to "beak off" about it.
And a really inter-nesting shot to boot Matt with the cool processing. :headslap:
I am waiting for the photo titled "Leggo my Eggo!"

Not sure how I can improve my photographic skills with such comments, folks. Looks me like I have to EGGsport my image someplace else. :wall-an::wall-an::wall-an:

Actually, as much as I love titles in this egg series, and remembering that I loved the 1st one so much I nominated it, I don't find this one remotely appealing at all. Sorry :)

At least you can't accuse me of just telling you what you want to hear right? ;)

Well I really like your other egg image, I'm not so keen on this one.

I think it is hard to critique it as a photograph, simply because it is so manipulated it is now more of an image than a photograph, a piece of art. There is no right or wrong.... just the viewers interpretation of it.

This forum is full of positive helpful people, sometimes they can be to nice!!!

I appreciate your comment, MA. Without it one just goes on and on not taking aim at improvement. Yes, I too come across images that have an instant appeal and blow me away, and then others leave me strikingly cold. Would be interesting to know why you did not find this appealing. Is it the fact that it was heavily photoshopped, it's composition, it's colours, or it's total lack of interest?

I should have taken more time and given you that answer Matt. Sorry about that. Was a bit rushed for time.
Definitely the processing that has taken this beyond being a photograph and into what we are calling 'Artography' around here (JumpinJimmyJava coined the phrase I think?) immediately turned me off this one. It looks like there is another cool play with lighting but any greatness in photography has been hidden by the PP.

I enjoy post processing very much and I'm not one of those purists that avoid commenting or enjoying photos because they aren't straight out of camera or close to it. I enjoy those shots very much as well.
But in the end I much prefer images to be instantly, and usually in-arguably, a photo.
