There was a jumpers schooling show at the barn next to mine. I wanted to go, but didn't have a babysitter. So, I took the boys and spent a couple of hours shooting (and wishing I was riding lol).

After looking at the photos, I felt like I was really off of my game. And I couldn't figure out why. After thinking about it, I have come to the conclusion that it was b/c I was shooting in the pavilion, meaning I was about 6ft in the air AND, anytime someone would walk by, the floor would vibrate my tripod. Bleh. Lesson learned.

I only have a couple uploaded b/c I ran out of my monthly MB with the free flickr lol. link:

Alright, I wanted to insert an image, but it isn't letting me

Hi maryclewis - welcome!

To upload a photo directly from your computer, just make sure it's under 250k or compression will occur. (click manage attachments when replying and u can do this)

To attach a photo from a 3rd party like flickr, just right click the photo you want and choose copy image location (or something like that for your particular OS).

Then click this icon above http://www.photography.ca/Forums/images/editor/insertimage.gifand insert the URL.

Hope that helps - Marko

Thanks! I thought I tried it that way, but it inserted text only. I will try again :)

yeah... that's what it kept doing the first time. I would right click and "copy image address" and then click the photo insert icon and.... that's what I got. LOL

Hi Mary
first to insert a photo:
click on 'all sizes' in your flicker. it will open up larger. then copy the URL below. Click on the picture icon and paste.

I looked at the pictures and I thought that all are well done (although a couple riders really pivot on their knees :) ).

your timing was very good and you really captured the right moments. I bet the riders would like them.

thanks!

Some of the riders were a hot mess, but that's what a schooling show is all about.... Most of them did a terrific job, though.

That one that you linked to looked pretty nice but small to see. If you want to post them here I created a little video to show you how which might make it easier.
