Well after my last post about my canon not firing i ahvn't really been on here posting much. I got it back today. It cost me almost 2 weeks of emptyness and $237.00 to repair. A circuit was repaired and my focus was adjusted. I'm weary of using my battery grip now as it is a 3rd party grip. I will disconnect the battery terminal and use it as a holder and grip only , not a power source. Lesson learned. I , in the end paid the cost of a canon grip but ended up with a cheap knock off.
