    The ice in the first one really grabs my attention. I like it. From the looks of the clouds in the sky, I'd guess it was actually sunny that day, at least part of the time?

    Ig and Q1 Thanks for your comments. Yes, it was a bright sunny day with wisps of cloud. Above zero after days of temperatures well below zero. I liked the sepia treatment for the way it made the ice more contrasty in these pictures. I also liked the reflections of the trees in the second picture. Winter can be interesting here because of the freezing and melting. Mike
