    Default Oh, Dad!

I photographed a friend's daughter's Bat Mitzvah this weekend. The kid on the right was such a character. He was obviously quite proud of his dad's dancing ability.

    A photo that tells a story--awesome.

One thing that I might have done (though it's moot if seen in a series) would be to have processed with a little bit of a lighter touch so that the yarmulke on the boy (is he wearing one ?) was more visible. That would be a sufficient cue for anyone seeing the photo in isolation to have a good sense of what's going on here.

This is great Jason. In addition to the super expression from the embarrassed boy, this is good in so many other areas. The action is well framed by the applauding audience, timing is spot on and there is good engagement with Dad's dancing partner. The joyous expressions of the clapping people is great and I just wished you had got more of the boy on the left. Low angle works really well too.
