I thought I'd post this as I find this a really influential book. As most will know, Ted Hughes was an immensely gifted poet once married to Sylvia Plath who tragically took her own life. The book does not focus on that but instead on rural industrial landscapes which at the time of print (1979) were almost like ghost towns.
