Question I'm new and got a Canon 5D Mark II, and need an 5" or 7" camera-top moniotr to match

I'm really interested in photography, however, I‘m a green hand... And I like figures and landscape photography, sometimes make short movies, such as shooting beauties, kids and place of interest. I got a Canon 5D Mark II from one of my friends, then I need an camera-top monitor to insist shooting, the camera should features 5-7 inch, high resolution/brightness, wide viewing angles, light weight('cause the camera is very heavy), image no delay when shooting and also affordable. So please kindly recommend some brands for me. Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the forum. I assume you are asking about a remote control solution for your camera that includes a bigger monitor than the camera has. I have used this DSLR Controller :: Home app for Android devices with lots of success on a Nexus 7 tablet. The app is free but you need some cables and dongles, and if you follow the instructions, there is both a wired and wireless remote control. Also if you have a laptop, you can download the Canon EOS Utility from the Canon Website that works with the camera to allow remote control from the laptop.

Yep, that's the way to go. I have the app on two 10" devices and use this tablet to tripod clamp. Too much weight for the shoe mount adapter that came with the clamp. Tablets and apps provide much more versatility than just a dedicated monitor, wouldn't you think? Helicon is another free dslr controller with the addition of having the capability to automate focus stacking. With an android and a DSLR, the world is your oyster!
