Afternoon at the brook...the sun casts a lovely glow -

Upstream at the same brook. I've been looking at this picture for months and there's something about it I like. I can't put my finger on it, maybe the reflection, maybe the snow covered bushes, maybe the sun on the trees in the bg, I don't know, but here it is.

A pond that's just starting to freeze. I was hoping for some mist, but alas it was clear. I sort of dig it anyway.

Another pond a stone's throw from that last one. I has more dead trees and I'm a sucker for dead trees.

Thoughts and comments welcome as usual.

I like the second photo as well, WD. I think the patch of blue in the water, plus the reflected light into the frost covered bushes is very unique. Also patches of color in the upper corners. Makes for a complex photo with many elements, yet it's nature.
First photo is a match for the second, IMO. Nice unique reflections, obviously the same area, same time. Same complexity.

I really like that 2nd shot. The intricate pattern/textures of the snow covered branches appeals a lot to me. Then I think the suns glow and the reflection just compliment that nicely.
