Yummy image ... wonderful capture. Love the mood it oozes, and the way one is drawn to follow the path into the woods. Lovely red bushes accentuate the horizon .... yes, just superb ....

Went to Parker River National Wildlife Refuge today. It's on Plum Island in Mass. I've lived an hour and ten away from it my whole life and never gone. Whatta dope. When the snow flies, I'm so there. Shouldn't be long now.
It started raining just after I shot this.

~~ Rule of thirds is for whimps ~~I chew coffee beans with my teeth while gargling with 67° water to enjoy coffee. What is this "coffee brewing" device you speak of?
Lovely shot..nice feeling from it.

A painter takes their vision and makes it a reality. A photographer takes reality and makes it their vision.
Thanks guys. I really like that one for the red in the bg.
This one I decided to desaturate quite a bit to emphasize the bleakness. I kind of like it. It works in a way black and white doesn't; I tried both.

Love the above photo for it's composition but I find the pp to green/yellow for my taste.
Nice shots! Love the colours in the first one and the bleakness of the 2nd one is rather cool .
Great job on the composition of both shots .
Very nice. I like the "character" in the walkway........no straight lines.
thanks guys. yeah, the walkways are pretty free form, although I do wonder why the abrupt jog in the first one...what were they trying to avoid??
Here's another view into the marsh. It was raining, but I was quick and it was worth it. I threw the fg cattail out of focus to sort of echo the fog. I'm afraid it leaves it without a definitive subject that is in sharp focus, but that's what rainy days on the north shore are like.
