So I stumbled upon this site a couple months ago and only just got around to registering. Typical these days, as I'm often chasing after my 2 year old daughter! lol.
Anyway, I'm Canadian, born in Victoria, but spent the last 5 years in Vancouver. In May of this year, my husband got a job in Scotland, so I'm now in Glasgow!
I've been taking photos since I was 8 or 9 years old. In the last few years I've gotten more serious about my self taught art and started to do so professionally doing some commercial work to expand my portfolio. Now of course, it's not quite in the cards, but I'm working towards doing photography professionally again.
I have to admit to being rather clueless about a lot of basic photography things, and have generally relied on experimentation and 'gut-feeings'. Some of my favourite work has come from this. However, I'm branching out and expanding my knowledge. Right now I'm working more and more towards getting myself off of automatic and really learning how to use my camera.
Looking forward to getting involved here and getting some feedback. This seems to be a great place to be.
Lindsay
