April 2009 Photography Assignment - Portraits (human)

This is a discussion on April 2009 Photography Assignment - Portraits (human) within the Photo assignments forums, part of the Photography & Fine art photography category; I actually prefer the original. Having a little bit of something in the background gives it some context....

    Default Photoshoot with my daughter

I asked my daughter to pose for me and here are a few of the results. I couldn't pick just one!!!

    1. The "Mona Lisa" smile

    2. I know something you don't know

    3. Will you please go away!?

Wow what striking eyes and butterfly lips she has.
Shot 2 is the strongest here for me based on eye sharpness, fewer distractions and a good pensive mood.

I know this thread is old, I figured nobody would really mind of I posted, this is kind of my first portraits I really did. I've always been nervous to do portraits. Not sure why but I am. I'm getting a little more comfortable now. This is only one shot of a bunch I did. They were used for an event poster for my friends Kerry (DJ Chrome) and Marc (DJ Supafly) Supafly is a local radio and nicht club DJ here in Vancouver and he's had me come down to a few events and do some shots for him for the clubs he spins at and for the radio.
