I would try with Photoshop first what do you think of this?

OK low res but with clone tool and crop tool you can fill in gaps enough although it is all a matter of taste and you could well prefer the original?

Much better. I have photoshop elements, but haven't yet learned how to use it. I struggled with it for a few days and got fed up.

Did you clone out the pipe or just cut it out?

Thanks for the catch Greg...I threw it into some sharpening and reposted so I hope it is better. I am going to go back for that one again and try some different stuff on it as I think there's some neat potential here.

Pipe cloned out first but cropped second time so may be cut out anyway. Not used Elements but with CS4 when using clone there is a tick box called Perspective that must be ticked also all boxes for size and resolution empty you can select all the image then drag corners of box I went further than the image so ended up with some white corners then enter and image then straight. Next used clone stamp to fill missing bits then cropped second time where not quite right.
In the old days of bellows cameras there were adjustments on the camera but you could not see the effect through view finder so you had to replace plate with a bit of paper and put bag over ones head to see upside down back to front image on paper and adjust until straight then replace with plate and take picture.
I have one of these cameras but never used it. Can't buy film any more and plates are coated with silver nitrate which it seems one can very easy produce nitroglycerine in error and many a budding photographer of years ago were blown up. Not my idea of fun.
So thought it was better to learn how to use Photoshop? I have been lucky been taught twice once with Photoshop 7 when learning IT and then with CS4 when learning photography but it has some many features would not think anyone knows it all?
Bought a disk in radio rally of Lynda.com with even more instructions yet this disk missed out HDR and have not found Lab Color either.
I find loading even a Jpeg in camera RAW allows one to do some corrections much easier than just loading into Photoshop and after posting I tried that to darken background and lighten heads but did not like the result.
The Mad Aussie seems to have worked out a method which he used on some monument to spitfire pilots which worked very well but not sure how he did it?
There are so many programs each can do some bit better than another. I use Paint shop pro for copy and paste work as better than Photoshop for that function as it auto sizes and it seems there are so many bits where other programs excel over Photoshop.
I can work out technical bits but I am rotten at selecting the shot in first place I lack the Artist bit. Just too much the engineer my wife is far better at selecting what makes a good photo.
Maybe if I view enough of them on here I will in the end learn that too?
