    While the SB-900 is an awesome speedlight, it's cost and weight is a detractor for me irrespective of what it can do. That, and I'm not Joe McNally. So, what I did was buy two SB-600s last year (at just about the cost of a single SB-900), ostensibly to start learning how to use the CLS. Later this year I'll cough up the dough for an SB-700 after the bugs (if any) are worked out. The SB-700 will be the commander for the other two (instead of the on-camera flash), a very nice feature.

    (I made the "mistake" of buying "The Hot Shoes Diaries" - silly me....)

    sb900 is just to big and heavy! 2 sb 600 would be great
