Started uploading shots into the Pentax Photo Gallery again(Thanks Casil). The first one uploaded a couple weeks ago was accepted. I uploaded 10 more last week, still waiting to see if they make it. Ill post anything else that does. Still have quite a bit of stuff but have to resize them correctly. Ugh.

But what exactly is that underneath the ship's keel? I guess it looks like part of the hull, but it looks like the ship is running over something big and pink.
Its a ballast they fill with water I believe. Kind of counter intuitive. I think it has something to to with keeping the nose of the ship down. Correct me if Im wrong. Im sure there is someone with more knowledge of this than I. I just thought it was cool and took the picture.

According to my husband (fan of anything that floats, flies or rolls), it's a bulbous bow. It improves fuel efficiency and stability on large ships.
Bulbous bow - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
He originally called it (this is a phonetic spelling, haven't been able to confirm it) a mansheim bow.
