As some of you may know, my son applied to the Royal Military College for Engineering. He has already been accepted into Dalhousie Engineering. He states that he wants a military career. Now he's freaking because he's unsure. Which is good. This is a major life decision and one not to be taken lightly. If he goes he would spend his first year in St. Jean Quebec and the remaining 3 years in Kingston. He would have his tuition and books paid and receive a salary while attending. Seniority starts accumulating at his time of entry. After graduation he owes 4-5 years of service.
It's an extremely competitive program (they accept 30 per year) and I am very proud of my boy. He will have some things to think about the next few days. My husband and I would like him to try it and if he doesn't like it withdraw. I don't want him to go to Dal because he's afraid to miss the university party experience (not that that's not valuable but I think that wherever there are young people together there will be a party
)
anyway, these are just my rambling but I had to share.
for listening.
