As most of you know I have a real passion for shooting bands. Some of my best ways to get to shoot certain bands is fire off and email two or three in the morning and with some semi conscious written letter and it works more than I ever thought it would. So DOA the seminal Vancouver Hard Core Punk band is coming to Toronto and pictures are not supposed to be taken. So around 4 o'clock this morning I fired off a letter to DOA which read,
"Wanna know if I see DOA at the horseshoe am I able to photograph them. LOng time DOA fan from Vancouver and beyond, Still an original punker and I would even have no issue sending you and the band some photos. Let do this 50 year punker a favour and please let me shoot them. Be a f*cking honour." I sent a three samples of other hard core punk bands I have shot along with my email.
I got back a this response "F*cking sure thing, that would be too F*cking cool, see you there"
Insomnia madness does have its purpose it seems, so stoked for friday night.
DOA - F*ck YOU just love this song ......

Hehehehe... sometimes you just never know what you are going to get until you ask. We must all remember to be brave enough to ask.
