How would you finish this

As I posted in off-topic I had mistakenly left my iso really high which ended up with a bunch of noisy shots. I posted my save of the shot here: Wharf at Back Harbour

If anyone else wants a crack at it, here is the original (untouched except for being converted to jpeg)

Ok here's my 2 attempts...
I ran the first one through Topaz Simplify on the oil painting preset, then Nik Define to remove some noise and made some tweaks in LR. I thought it would look really cool with a bit of a painterly feel.
The second one I put through TA and then again some NR in Dfine and tweaks in LR.
I hope they are okay. I had to really reduce them in size and pixels to get the upload size accepted.

This is a VERY tough one to save imo. casil did a good job for sure but all the details are too soft in an effort to mask the noise.

Your orignal shot Wharf at Back Harbour is superior imo except for the noise.

Imo - this is a reshoot or we need a noise Ninja.

Wow...nicely done Richard.....I suck at photoshop but it was worth a try....your attempt rocks!

Kay. I went a little crazy.

I adjusted the contrast level using ps, then using the color effex I added the "fog" and then converted to black and white. Used the noise reduction program and tried to sharpen a little again but with such a small file..ahh. Oh..and then leveled it, by the looks of it..too much.. :P

But it gave me something to do as the kids are fully involved with coloring.

thanks casil403, I'm not 100% convinced that its possible to remove the noise and keep the sharpness when working with such a small jpeg.

I like you take on it Kat, the artificial fog does help hide the noise,

I agree with you Richard....I thought I would go the artography route myself.
I like your take on it also Kat...it adds a completely different mood to the shot.
I think B this definitely calls for a reshoot.

used the measure tool to straighten up the image and used the clone tool to add to the vacant portions caused by the arbitrary rotation. selected the houses and used levels to brighten up a bit. selected the wharf and used curves to lighten. used hoe and saturation to increase the colors of trees, and used the sponge tool to desaturate some portions.
