I had posted one earlier but now I am looking at this one to send over. This shot is basically how it looked out when I took it and only has been cropped.

I know the composition could of been better but it was just a chance this boat was coming into the dock and any other way of shooting it I would of been treading water to take it....

Ideas? And that blue on the water on the right side by the shore line..is that okay? It seems a bit off..? I didn't use a flash when I took this..learning now that I should. But can I pull it off?

i like the waves the boat creates. i like the picture. though the colors seem a bit too magenta/blue. this is how the shot came out from the camera or did you boost some colors?

But the blue..grey..whatever color on the right is that okay?

Most of our summer skies are like this here so I wanted to capture it as close as I could!!!!!

ah, yes, much more natural looking. yeah, in this case, i can tell that the gray part on the right is just the reflection on the waves. i'd think it would be alright. doesn't distract me too much, at least.

That 2nd shot is much more appealing indeed. End of a nice day fishing out on the lake ... almost looks like two lovers in the boat kissing.

If it's a promotional shot you might be able to 'photoshop' in some flying bird silhouettes to make that sky more interesting perhaps?

And yes, I reckon the greyish water looks fine.
