Castle "Afterglow"

This is a discussion on Castle "Afterglow" within the Critiques forums, part of the Photography & Fine art photography category; I am back from our little trip at the Mosel. Some pictures weren't the best one, but with some Photoshop ...

    I am back from our little trip at the Mosel. Some pictures weren't the best one, but with some Photoshop treatment here and there I can present you the castle "Afterglow":



    Made out of two pics - here are the two originals http://www.sagas-welt.de/4images/det...hp?image_id=80. The castle I shot out of the car; the sunset I saw out of our room on the winegrower yard.

    I think the shot does work, but for me the sky part of the image is more impressive than the castle.

    I looked at your original of the castle. The sky definitely needed help. Nice work combining them. I think the sky helps give the castle an impression of "lord of all he surveys".

    Cool photo-merge, it definitely revived the castle shot.

    You might have found better sharpness with a smaller aperture, however the combo totally works.
