Hi everyone- please tell me what you think. A little background- am very new to photography and have been interested in capturing images from everyday surfaces and rotating, cropping and minor editing to bring out interesting, often abstract compositions that are probably unseen to the casual observer. Many of my compositions come from sides of buildings, rocks, sometimes decorative stone, rust, wood, etc.

Here is one I've titled "Flamenco Spirit" that came from a splotch on the side of a building. I've edited the color a little... please feel free to critique. I have a specific question- would you fill in those white specks on the "skirt"?

I often find it more interesting to leave some of the weirdness as it is.

I like your vision and imagination! I can totally 'see' the flamenco dancer here and she is well placed in the composition as well. Being an abstract, I see little advantage in changing much, if anything, at all. I would maybe use a dodge tool to lighten that dark blotch in the bottom right corner.

I like this image - the white specs do not bother me.
The biggest distraction for me is the whitish area near top right edge, i might burn that in a bit.

I love to see objects in random things as well. This is a wonderful find! And a perfect title as well! Burning is a good way to help with trouble spots. Cloning is effective as well. I think tho, that ultimately, it is how pure you wish the find to be. What your artist aesthetic wants.

Well spotted. Yes, quite oftene there are things in stuff we photograph that we may not even see at the outset. This one being one you spotted before you took the image. Like it. Very strong colours, and I also can see the dancer in it.

I chew coffee beans with my teeth while gargling with 67° water to enjoy coffee. What is this "coffee brewing" device you speak of?
