This is my daughter, Paige. She is getting married in June. This photo was taken in a bridal shop as she was trying on gowns.

Hmmm.... REALLY like the idea, not so fussed about the execution. I think it needs just a touch more DoF around her face; enough have sharp focus down to say the necklace. Additionally, it's just a bit under-exposed, and the green cast isn't really working for me. That said, I understand this was a 'spur of the moment' shot, and it is a good one.

I very much like the mood you've set for the shot but it's not working for me for 2 reasons. Mostly this shot feels off based on the odd body position in the shot. It looks just a bit too contorted. Second is the focus, it's off. If the whole shot were MORE out of focus, that might work better. Despite this - great mood, you've given the shot a successful old time feel.

I also like the feel, but agree with the above comments - it feels a bit "chesty" to me - the brightest and largest part of the frame draws the eye, and I'm not sure that's the intended focus point...

Ben - LOL no- not the intention.... i think i was down lower than she was and yes, the girls were so quick. TI - how green is it on your monitor? Mine is a laptop and not calibrated...it shows here not as green but maybe a very slight hint of a green....hmmmm Marko -thanks for the well wishes!

Hmmm. Is you monitor calibrated? I wonder what the images look like that I send out to people!!! This has me really concerned. I wish I could spring for the calibrator...:(

Just a standard Dell Vostro laptop here with a non-calibrated screen and my experience is the same as tirediron's

Had some time and thought I'd try to challenge myself with photoshop. Something I should finally sit down and learn.

I did some burning and dodging and "grain". I like that old feel look and thought it would be good to tone down her dress a little. If one could kinda make it more grainy on the fold of the dress..probably would be better (I have no clue how).

I have problems with black and white and the contrast part of it but thought this may be a way to go with the photo!

In either case, Congrats to the bride!!!!
