    A good start; mastering the extremely limited DoF in macro works takes a lot of practice, but you're on your way.

    That's getting tough to critique for Casil ... but you know I'll find a way

    Both are nice shots.

    Lets see ... I think the pitcher plant in both shots could be a tad sharper and the pitcher in shot 2 may be a fraction over exposed just below the lip area although perhaps that's how it was. I can't tell.

    I think the first shot would work better in a more landscape aspect and the 2nd shot would be better as a portrait. The square crops don't work too well for my eye.

    This is not really a critique, great shot, but I actually believe that is a yellow lady slipper that you have a pic of and not a pitcher plant.
