    Excellent catch. I really like the light on this little fellow. Do you know what kind of bird it is? It has some interesting colouring.

    Not completely sure because of the angle and the lighting, but the markings, shape and my guess of the colors make me think it's a barn swallow.

    I agree with the barn swallow ID. I like where you put it in the frame, makes me wonder what it's looking at.

    Thanks all, it is indeed a barn swallow. Nesting in the Frank Lake blind. It's the one driving me nmad trying to catch with my 300mm while in flight ... a patience draining effort --- way worse than playing golf (which is also a patience draining effort!).
