One of my other interests besides Photography, is Fish. I have 2 Tanganyika Cichlid tanks going and am breeding Neolamprologus brichardi and trying to breed Neolamprologus leleupi, and Cyprichromis leptosoma. My 3rd Tank is my catfish/ Blood Parrot tank.
Here are a couple shots I got tonight, had a really hard time with exposure, was either blown out or to dark. These tanks have insane lighting on top because I also grow aquatic plants, u wouldn't know it from the photos though.
This is a young Leleupi, I left the flower in the background. Getting a aquatic plant to flower is a challenge!

This is one of my Parrots " Benu"

And this is a small Brichardi fry

Very fine shooting, under tough conditions. Likin' the last shot the best for me.

I've tried shots like these before, they are tough! These ones are pretty good though. #2 is my favourite. Well done!

    Thanks guys!
The second shot is my fave. He has amazing eyes, there reflecting some of the green from the plant, but normally there Ice Blue!

There's a video tutorial over on learn my shot which might be of interest, it talks through how to light an aquarium for photography using basic lights.

Love the greens and orange combo in these shots.

Oh - I know two of them - have had them once in a Tanganyika tank myself. The Brichardis do have such a interesting breeding way! Do you have some pictures of the tiny ones too? :-)
