The one with the Newt? LOL.
Wonderful colour on the newt and really nice composition and the suggestion of a story here!

These guys were everywhere the other day. Not sure if they all just gave up their gills and left the stream or if there was a big party or if it was just the heavy rain. Had to walk the trails really carefully so as not to squoosh one. Off the charts cute. And yeah, I did have to recite that whole Monty Python scene.

Just popped on for a minute and saw all the replies. Thanks guys. I think this is a temporary color for newts and they go green as adults, but I'd have to check. And yeah, I think newts are a type of salamander, with salamander being the larger category. I would call all newts salamanders, but not all salamanders newts.
Lovely shot !
