    We found this moth on the window sill this morning, he had fantastic colours when he opened his wings. These are cropped images... was shooting with the 17-55.... might have to get an 100mm macro lens one of these days....

    Cool. I like #2 as well but seeing the wings all spread out in #3 is very cool.

    Thanks guys, turns out it's not a moth it's a Small tortoiseshell butterfly. (I tracked it down on google). I might try iggy's reversing a 50mm technique next year.

    Beautiful captures on all three Richard. Love the detail in shot 3. That is one sweet lens, and who needs a macro with shots like this.
