This one I took when I smuggled my 40D with nifty fifty in to the circus as it was meant to be "No Cameras". Obviously that meant no flash. I also turned off image review and the AF assist light. It was also an intimate crowd, so I couldn't have the camera in plain view and had to shoot from the hip.
I really love the lighting, but it also obviously made tough shooting conditions. I still managed a couple of cool shots, this being one of them. In some ways it was a lucky shot, but I guess I had to have the right settings to get it.
This one I took before the show as I also liked the lighting.
