I may be reaching here...but what's on his mind is something strong, serious, overbearing, perhaps loneliness, perhaps sadness, perhaps death.
The drawn verticals being so sharp make it a very important part (perhaps even a symbol) in this image.

Very cool shot. I like the feeling a lot. It's serious contemplation but nothing worrying... I don't get a sense of "fretting over something". More like someone trying to solve a difficult problem.
Very nicely done. It looks to me as if he has focused in on something and is in a state of serious thought

cool shot MA -point of focus for the subject appears to be where the light narrows and beyond the blinds ( to my eye)
