The panels in the Huey. Not the greatest shots, and I wasn't in the front seats because I didn't want to kick anything. But you can see the details pretty clearly. It's under restoration (non-flying, because they don't have the logs for the parts, which is required for a helicopter) and she wants to set it up so that people can sit in it.

This is a fixer upper? I love the photos. We had twin Huey in the Canadian Forces however we flew more in the American single engine as they seemed to have more airtime available for us.

Neat to have a tour around the cockpit of such a famous helicopter. They are still the most distinctive sounding chopper I've ever heard.

Glad you like them. Yes, Peter, this is a fixer upper. The rotors, all of them, are still laying on the maintenance hangar floor. They've pulled the loose rocket launchers out of the back, but haven't put them on yet. The interior fabric and panels seem to be basically undamaged and the paint isn't bad, but it does need a going over.

Odyssey, yes, it's complex. If you've ever seen the cockpit of a commercial airliner, though, that's even worse. There are two things that help a lot. The first is that there is a clear delineation of duties - who has charge of which controls. There second is that in general, cockpit panels are organized so that everything relating to a system or function is grouped in one place. So if you know what system you want to deal with and where on the panel the group of controls is, the individual switch or whatever if easier to find. I imaging Peter could tell you what each of the sections in the photos covers.
