    Hey Acadie. Being Canadian I was surprised to learn my great great grandfather was a Major in the American Civil War. He served in the 2nd Division, South Carolina Militia, Confederate Army. He owned two plantations. One on the Ashley River and one on Plum Island. He lost everything after the war! Here is his photo - jimmy
