How about selective focus for the OCTOBER theme? Something along those lines might be kind of fun to work with photos where only the subject (or part of the subject) you want to emphasize is in focus.
I did it in as a challenge in another forum and it was really quite fun.

selective focus is a wonderful subject. Since we are oct 1 today and this suggestion has no competition, it wins and is the level 2 assignment this month. Gimme 15 min to make it so.

    Thx!

    Ok members,

The theme for this level 2 assignment is selective focus (thx casil). This means that we selectively focus on a certain part of our subject usually with a large aperture.

Ok then? who will post first?

Cool shots, Ed and Jude! Ed the 35mm 1.8 is the lens I spent the last month with on the 1 camera 1 lens project. It is sharp as a tack.

Default Study on an Autum Leaf

Picked one leaf off a bush in my back yard. Took it to the "man-cave" as my wife calls it. Onto the black poster boards it went. Founds some modeling sand. made a little heap and then placed the leaf on it. Got the camera set up with the macro, and then ....

I chew coffee beans with my teeth while gargling with 67° water to enjoy coffee. What is this "coffee brewing" device you speak of?

Cool set. I like the first one in this set. I also like how you find time to play like that. Very nice!
