The theme for this level 2 assignment is selective focus (thx casil). This means that we selectively focus on a certain part of our subject usually with a large aperture.

How about selective focus for the OCTOBER theme? Something along those lines might be kind of fun to work with photos where only the subject (or part of the subject) you want to emphasize is in focus.
I did it in as a challenge in another forum and it was really quite fun.
selective focus is a wonderful subject. Since we are oct 1 today and this suggestion has no competition, it wins and is the level 2 assignment this month. Gimme 15 min to make it so.

Picked one leaf off a bush in my back yard. Took it to the "man-cave" as my wife calls it. Onto the black poster boards it went. Founds some modeling sand. made a little heap and then placed the leaf on it. Got the camera set up with the macro, and then ....
Would you believe a little olive oil and a couple of drops of water??
