    Default Hello from Orillia Ontario

    Hello Folks.

Been haunting the forum for a few days and decided it was time to touch base.

I'm from Orillia Ontario and am an amateur with big dreams and a bigger thirst for knowledge.
I've been absorbing every bit of info I can for months now and plan on turning my love of photography into a daily, and full time career.

I must love it. I don't want to do anything else, and I'm driving my wife crazy talking about it. So it's either love, or obsession HAHA

Yeah and the sad part is that I haven't barely gotten started.
Hey, if you want to learn to become the best you can be at something, you had better do it with the best equipment possible.
You should see my wish list..... It would curl your hair. First up? The canon 5d mk III and the 24-105 L (want the 24-70 L too for the big aperture) LOL
I Have no really fast lenses yet so that is a priority. And let's not even talk about Macro.

Welcome to the forum! I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay with us. For me, it's a lovely obsession :P

A nice inexpensive way to get into a fast lens is the 50mm f1.8. Excellent sharpness and at $130 it's an easy purchase. I use mine all the time. And if you are brave, it doubles as an excellent macro lens with a $3 reversing ring.
