Default I'm Back (well, took a little break from reno's)

This has been an interesting couple of weeks as we replaced every floor in house at once and tore down/replaced several walls at same time. Pretty much gutted the house, and rebuilt the inside while still living in it.
We still have all the trim work, paint and a couple windows to install yet. Then back outside to finish the metal roof and the fascia and soffett yet. Oh yeah, and patio and sidewalk.
Worst part is we never took any before/after pics. Guess reason being is, we are doing all this to eventually sell and relocate to Northern Ontario. We do love this little piece of heaven out in the boonies, but deeper into the boonies, is calling us even more.
Just the hustle and bustle every time we go to the city and everyone "owning" the road, really gets to ya' after awhile. Definitely not the life for us. I really gotta say, those of you that live in a large city, gotta give you credit for what you go through every day, I know I would not be able to do it. I'll take my chances with the bear, wolves, lynx where we are going over the smog, noise, traffic, crime, etc. any day.
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!

Yeh I live on the northern reaches of Brisbane and a kilometre walk takes me to open roads and the lake. Beyond that, the mountains (or hills as they would be in Canada). I hate driving into the city for work.

Yes, where we live now most would consider backwoods. We live on a dead end gravel road, with no other houses visible from ours, and we are surrounded by approx. 600+ acres of forest. We can literally walk 50 steps and spend days in the bush without retracing our steps.
We can, and do, literally live off the land. Raise our own livestock, and hunt and fish our own land/ponds. (There is a lake out in the backwoods also, but it is on neighbours land.)
I guess the Hillbillygirl moniker I was given by some of our four-wheelin' friends fits, as I find even this to be too crowded anymore. Just love being out on the four-wheeler and getting back in the Northern bush as far away from it as possible. There is nothin' like standing out on a moonless, overcast night and holding your hand in front of your face and not being able to see it, its that dark out there.
Well, sorry about the rambling, just can't wait to get this done, and head out into the wilds, even more.
Time to get back to looking at others pics and do a little catching up.
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!

You go too far into the wilds and you won't get the internet ... and you'll lose us :(

Won't get rid of me that easy MA. There is always satellite internet if it comes down to it. We have already looked at it, and it may be only option, but so be it.
