Default Boys and their toys (pic heavy)

Last weekend an annual classic car rally came close to my home, so I headed out for a few shots. As there were approx 1000 vehicles made between 1950-1970, there was some lovely machinery on show. The photos I was taking showed off some of these lovely cars trucks and bikes, but they became a bit boring so I decided on a different take on the event by concentrating on the people in the cars as they went past. I hope you find these a little more interesting.

Lovely toys. But not just for the boys. Between the 2 of us, I've had 2 MGBs and a Jag (XKE), and Mike's had one 'B and 2 XJSes. (Yeah, bring on the jokes about Lucas/Prince of Darkness, warm English beer, and magic smoke. The 'Bs especially were actually really reliable).

Love the composition, the focus on the people was a very cool idea.

Great shots! Definitely an "outside of the box" shooting experience!
Keep an eye on that 'Tools of the Trade' project thread in the assignments forum...I try to add new pictures often!

Cool set. I like the way you've chosen to not show the whole cars. I found myself seeing if I could ID them from the little I could see.

    1&2. Morgan Plus Super?
    3. No idea. Chrysler or Plymouth perhaps?
    4. 57 Chev
    5. Again, no idea ... Chrysler though I think?
    6. Fastback Mustang ... maybe 68 model?
    7. FC Holden?
    8. No idea at all.

There was plently of variety and I think the era (1050s-1970s) was a great one for classic cars - Thanks
