Question Completely stunned (How do I listen to podcasts?)

So, I'm really not that MP3, IPOD, "podcast" knowledgeable... I admit it, I'm stunned in that department... anyway, my question is this.... I would really, really, really like to tune in to Marko's podcasts, but frankly I don't even know what they are or how to do it. I can't access them from work and don't have time to do it at home... if I buy one of those MP3 things, can I listen to them on that and how do I do it?

No Prob - most people listen to them on their computers actually.

All the podcasts are located here http://www.photography.ca/blog/ and have titles like Cleaning camera lenses - cleaning cameras - Photography podcast #51

At the bottom of the post there is a little player. Click the button and it should play.. it's that simple. If for some technical reason it doesn't work on your computer, click the download button and download the (100% free of any garbage) audio file. That's ALL a podcast is a simple audio file, and you can play it with most any media player that comes pre-installed on your computer.

    Hope that helps

Correct. You can download individual podcasts (on our blog by clicking the link at the bottom of each posted podcast that says 'download' to your computer and transfer them to your MP3 player.

OR you subscribe (it's 100% free) to the podcast with something like Itunes or Google reader (there are 1 click buttons on the top right front page of the blog - www.photography.ca/blog )

That's the way most people that listen to many podcasts do it. The advantage of subscribing is that when you open Itunes or Goggle reader etc., it automatically searches those podcasts that you subscribed to and if a new one has been released, the software downloads it for you. It's REALLY cool and easy once you've done it just a couple of times.

Then you can usually Sync that software with your MP3 player so that when you attach the mp3 player to the computer, the software that controls your MP3 player Syncs with Google reader or Itunes and Voila - it gets transferred (according to preferences that YOU set) to your Mp3 player.

Hope that helps and feel free to ask additional questions if you're still confused. Subscribing to podcast and/or blog feeds is still not that well known yet, but the technology is brilliant, just brilliant.

So I finally got an MP3 player and finally downloaded your podcasts into it... I have listened to about 5 so far. WOW! Amazing stuff! A big THANK YOU! I grab my MP3 player and listen to it while I'm in the tub. Amazing! Right now, I don't have any suggestions for future podcasts because I have alot of catching up to do. Thank you so much for so willingly sharing your knowledge.
