Enjoyed the podcast. I've always had a fifty in the bag, but almost never used it. Here's four that I got today with a Super-Takumar 50mm 1.4 on a APS-C sensor. Pretty much left alone with just a resize and frame in Elements.

Lovely work BF!
I have the 50mm f1.4 and find I rarely use it. It seems just a bit too long on a crop sensor.
Just recently bought the 40mm f2.8 pancake lens (cost was $159 on sale and currently $164 at the Camera Store) and I think I will use it a lot more. Especially for street photography.
