How did you get the background to look so blue and the flower so sharp?

I like the first one better. It looks like it's ready to take on the world. Nice job of keeping the detail in the petals. That's still one that drives me crazy.

Ahh, yes. That's it. It reminds me of a Mother's Day or Anniversary card where it's layered with a plastic coating. You've given it a very 3D feel with the levels of leaves on the left. Perfect focus on the flower itself and that awesome background.
