We went for a walk through "The Forks of The Credit" yesterday. It is a beautiful natural park with variations of meadows, lakes, rivers, and bush. In this one section are remnants of an old mill dam. They have erected a bridge over the old structure and on top of one of the old abutments lie this old bouquet of roses. I could only imagine that a loved one had lost their life here after falling in,....
.. There would be no chance of survival as the water is unbelievably fast here.....
....and this 40 ft. drop fall is just below the first section.
The trails were covered in ice and we could not get any closer for fear of falling ourselves. (slicker than two eels makin' love in a barrel of snot, as my husband says) Would love to go back when it is a little drier and greener.
