The Sunbathers
Went wildflower hunting yesterday. Semi-successful. Extremely buggy.

Purple trillium. They were about a foot high which was great because I could get the underside of those great leaves. Unfortunately they're another carrion flower so were stinky.

Love how you made them stand out so nicely from the background WD, very nicely captured.
(As for the smell, that would be why this subspecies is called "Stinking Benjamin". Pretty lowly name for what I think is the most beautiful of the Trillium family).
-
Excellent! I love the low angle here.
-
Very nice. I'm with Iggy on the angle here. Can't wait until I get some of those chances up here!
-
thanks guys. I literally almost stomped these before seeing them because I was so distracted by the buggy onslaught.
-
absolutely love this. the perspective and colours are awesome.
-
thanks Rich. Purple trillium are such show offs. I debated moving the log, but when I do microscapes I like to keep the grounds-keeping to a minimum.
-
Great perspective. The angle really made those flowers the main focus of the image, not to mention that their colors made them standout. Good thing you didn't stomped on them. Thanks for sharing!
-
That's a special perspective! Nice work.

thanks guys. I may go a-hunting again today...supposed to be cooperative light.
