    I like the layer from foreground to back and the diagonal of the slope. Curious, was there a CP filter used?

    Gorgeous colors. Interesting photo to look at, with the varying textures and desaturated trees in the background.

    Thanks Barefoot, Marko & MB

    No BF - no filter at all. I was in a bit of a valley and the whole area was in shadow, except the hint of late afternoon sun over the hill behind.

    mbrager it was the the white, leafless, desaturated trees that drew me to this location in the first place

    I too like that desaturated look. Was this a processing decision or was it desaturated from shooting into the sun. Your comment suggests it wasn't in post.

    Thanks asnow. It was fairly blue shadowy light being late afternoon. I just upped the exposure a little to what the actual scene looked looked like. The trees in the background had white trunks and branches so were naturally desaturated
