Is what made me stop and photograph these bright orange poppies.

Taken with my P&S, handheld and anyone trying to photograph these can tell you how much they move in the wind. I still think the P&S makes really bad decisions but the setting s do not seem to affect what it wants to do. If I set it on sports, I expect a high shutter speed, if set on scenic I would expect a narrow aperture but that is not the case. But the fact that the little tiny plastic lens resolved these flowers that well is impressive. I guess there is a lot to be said for Leica, even if its a teeny tiny plastic lens.

Wonderful colours for sure and excellent sharpness.

I've said this quite a few times already but under the right conditions, it's nearly impossible to tell a quality P&S image from a quality DSLR image....the problem is that the right conditions don't always happen.....but they did here!

Wonderful image. I like the differnt stages of the flowers, and their pollen ... the little smudegs on on blossom, and the crisp neatness of the other. Well spotted, beautifully taken, great job!

Thanks all! They were on the edge of the sidewalk, nodding their heads for attention.
