Telus Sky
Well, it's been awhile since I have visited here. I am glad to see all the usual suspects are still hanging in. :)
I have been wanting to photograph the Telus Sky Tower for some time and finally made a foray out to check it out. I am going to add a link as well where the architect talks about the design a bit. It is very unusual as it has a relatively small footprint for it's height. In the architect's video there is a prototype of a really nice mezzanine area and, well we are not quite there yet. I do not like Telus's signage at ground level. either. It turns out this building is a challenge to photograph at ground level, it is in a tight space and the Ctrain is right in front of it which I am sure will make for cool photos sometime. At any rate here is what I got on this visit.

Hey Jas,
Good to see ya! I really like these - that curvy quality mixed w/the rectangular building blocks - very cool!
I think shot 3 is my fave here.
-
Thanks Marko! The building really stands out in the skyline especially since it so close to the "Bow".

These are nice shots. Love the sky and cloud reflections, appropriate for the name. I noticed it was finished now and also that it is hard to shoot from the ground. Worth exploring. Thanks for sharing these.

It is nice to hear from you again Jas.
This is a nice looking building. I agree the sky and the reflections are the stand out.
-
I agree with Marko, #3 has motion. Great image!!!
Number 2 has distractions of the reflections at the bottom.
Number 1 looks like a vinyl album cover (in a good way)

Wow! Look who's back!
I really like that last one. Would love to see that same shot with a 10 stop ND filter.
Missed you muchly.

I was actually thinking about that Barefoot. I will have to round up my tripod and filters and get serious. Nice to see you too! The Antiquetiger I purposely put the reflection in there. it is the Calgary Tower and I have a thing where I take pictures of it without taking a picture of it. It's a silly thing. it used to dominate the town down now all the highrises dwarf it. It used to be a landmark now I have had tourists ask me where it is when they are only one block away from it. Thanks. for the comments everyone.
